Oh, you want to delete your Snapchat? Makes sense. There are far more enticing apps to takeover your free time/life — you know, like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, etc. etc.
Snapchat launched in 2012, and it was the first of its kind — an app that allows users to send photos, videos, and messages that disappear after a certain number of seconds.
But all good things must come to an end, so if you're over the fancy filters and whatever else Snapchat still does, there's a quick and easy way to delete your account.
How to delete your Snapchat account
- Open your web browser and open Snapchat.
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Manage My Account and click Delete my Account.
- Enter your username and password to confirm your decision.
- Click continue.
And that's it. You should receive an email confirming your deactivated account. Snapchat notes, "After taking the steps to delete your account, it will first be deactivated for 30 days. While your account is deactivated, your friends will not be able to contact or interact with you on Snapchat." Don't forget to remove the app from your phone.
