You’re out to dinner with your friend who you haven’t seen in years and want to snap a pic for posterity, but ugh, the restaurant lighting is way too dim. Here, a genius iPhone trick that will brighten things up sans flash.
What you do:
Open up your iPhone’s camera and toggle over to video mode. When you’re ready to take the photo, hit record as if you’re filming a video. The second you do, you’ll see a white shutter button appear in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. Tap it at the same time the video is recording to take a real (and brighter) pic.
